George R.R. Martin is still wowed by what Northern Ireland has to offer.

Okay. Enough time has passed for us all to admit that the final season of Game of Thrones was severely underwhelming.

It just was.

Not to the point that it ruined the entire series, but just enough that well over a million people signed a petition to have it remade.

But one thing that remained top of the range throughout the show, was how damn good it looked.

This was largely due to the fact that they selected some of the most beautiful parts in the world to film the fantasy series, some of which just happened to be on this very island.

So let’s be honest, George R.R. Martin owes us one.

A new video for Northern Ireland’s tourism board is headed by the creator of Game of Thrones, and he is clearly still quite attached to the place.

Narrated by Martin, we see some places that helped set the scene for some of the show’s most iconic moments, including Bran’s fall from the castle, and Winterfell itself.
