For some people, when they win big on game shows, we can’t help be feel a little bit… well, jealous.
We’re happy for them, sure, but that happiness is tinged with “I wish that was me“.
That isn’t the case here, as retired Mayo man Michael Kilbane spun the wheel at the end of Saturday night’s Winning Streak, and it landed on the €100,000.
Added to the €40,000 he had won earlier in the show, as well as a holiday with a €3,000 price-tag, and it is fair to say that he had a pretty good night!
Michael, from Achill Island but living in Castlebar, and his wife of 56 years, Margaret, have said they are going to wait until the dust has settled to decide what to do with the winnings.
Saturday night’s show had a season record haul on last night’s Winning Streak with all five players winning a total of €307,000.
