20 years since the first movie arrived and the gang have reunited!

Released towards the end of 2001, just four years after the first book was published, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone went on to become an absolute global cinematic phenomenon.

In the years since then, we got another seven Harry Potter movies, as well as two Fantastic Beasts movies (with a third on the way), theme park rides, huge film set tours and so much more.

All ten of those movies are currently available to stream with your NOW Cinema Membership, but much like 2021 has proven to be the Year of the Reunion – we also had the Friends and the Sex and the City reunions this year – fans have been incredibly excited ever since the Harry Potter reunion was announced earlier this year.

And this week, it is finally here!

Before we get to the details on that, there is also the Hogwarts Tournament of Houses! Hosted by Helen Mirren, it is a four-part event that pits the world’s greatest Harry Potter fans against each other, with the goal of being named House Cap champion.

Hogwarts Tournament of Houses is available to watch with your NOW Entertainment Membership right now.

And then on to main event!

From New Year’s Day, you can watch the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts special, which will reunite Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint to celebrate big screen debut of that first movie.

They’ll be joined by Chris Columbus (director of the first movie), as well as cast members including Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge).

It will also feature Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), James Phelps (George Weasley), Oliver Phelps (Fred Weasley), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), and Ian Hart (Professor Quirrell), and more!

The Return to Hogwarts will be available to watch with your NOW Entertainment Membership from Saturday, 1 January.
