Would you walk a thousand miles to see it tonight?
Over the years, there have been a number of great movies that thoroughly deserved sequels, but we still haven't got them.
We're thinking about the likes of True Lies, District 9, The Big Lebowski, Bridesmaids, Step Brothers, Inception... we could go on and on.
However, this is a world were Sharknado got five sequels, so things aren't exactly fair.
To that end, back in 2004 (the same year as Mean Girls, which also doesn't have a sequel!), we got White Chicks, which featured Shawn and Marlon Wayans donning white-face and going full drag in order to solve a series of kidnappings.
It got 15% on Rotten Tomatoes, it was nominated for Five Razzies, but it still made $113 million at the box office, making it something of a modest hit.
Considering the Wayans Brothers managed to stretch Scary Movie out to five movies, we're surprised it has taken this long, but it does look like White Chicks 2 is going to be a thing.
Terry Crews was on the red-carpet for the premiere of America's Got Talent Season 14, when Pedestrian TV asked him about the potential sequel:
"I would love one! I’m staying in shape for White Chicks 2! I will never get out of shape - you know that, right? I will be 75 and say, ‘Here we go, I’m ready to go!’ I will never, ever get out of shape because that movie’s going to happen one day."
Earlier this month, the original movie's co-writer and star Marlon Wayans told MTV's TRL the following:
"I don’t know, but there’s been some rumblings happening, and a lot of people want us to do it, so me and my brothers have been talking. So if things go right, we hope to do a White Chicks 2."
Firstly, Terry Crews is a gift to this world, and even though the first movie is a garbage fire, his rendition of Vanessa Carlton's hit song is amazing.
And secondly, who are all these people who are dying for a sequel to White Chicks? Haven't they seen literally any other movie?
Oh well, if this can get a part two, then we can still hold out hope for a Showgirls 2...
