Woman tells tale of "a lesbian's worst nightmare" on First Dates Ireland

Another episode done and dusted.

First Dates Ireland was back on screens again on Thursday night as what seemed like half the country sat down to collectively grin, gasp and cringe at what unfolded on our screens.

Thankfully, there wasn't quite a moment to match this level of awkwardness from last week, but it was a decent episode nonetheless.

It didn't work out for everyone last night but there was some love in the air as 24-year-old entrepreneur and mother Dominika hit it off with keen outdoorsman Paul, 28, from Galway.

Maria from Cork and Sara from Dublin also had an interesting date, during which the pair discussed the incident that led to Maria losing the tip of her right index finger, or as she described it, "every lesbian's worst nightmare".

It didn't work out for the pair romantically, but the duo will remain friends and have something to talk about in years to come.
