Audio: This mash-up of Russell Brand’s political rants with Blur’s Parklife is just brilliant

"Confidence is a preference for the habitual voyeur of what is known as..."

“Confidence is a preference for the habitual voyeur of what is known as…”

We’re big fans of Russell Brand here in JOE Towers because the articulate and often hilarious comedian has a habit of taking the piss out of some fairly narrow minded people.

You may have heard that Rusty has gotten even more political in the last few weeks due to his new book Revolution, in which he trashes the British government and a host of other establishments which he considers to be totalitarian and repressive, in the articulate and elegant way that he has become synonymous with.

It seems that some of Russell’s famous speeches like the following, “”This attitude of churlish indifference seems like nerdish deference contrasted with the belligerent antipathy of the indigenous farm folk, who regard the hippie-dippie interlopers, the denizens of the shimmering tit temples, as one fey step away from transvestites”, has prompted a genius reaction from the Internet.

While most people would just smile, nod and pretend that they actually knew what the hell he was talking about , The Tony Fenton Show with Louise Duffy on Today FM took a different Brit-pop inspired approach.

The show’s producer Ann Gleeson created this mash-up and it’s just superb.

Have a listen to the whole thing and the song kicks in around the 1:00 mark.

It’s just superb.
