The new Beats By Dre headphones has the one crucial feature we’ve been asking for

The future is here.

JOE

Hopefully, our smartphones will have this next.

The last time we came across Beats By Dre headphones in Ireland was when the boy from Crumlin, Conor McGregor featured in an advert just days before his fight.

Since then, Dre and his team have been busy in the lab creating the next episode of the Beats collection and we think that they have really outdone themselves this time.

According to their website, Beats Studio3 Wireless will deliver up to 22 hours of battery life with Pure ANC (active noise cancellation) on and you can get nearly two days worth of music with Pure ANC off.

Pure ANC has been described by the company as “groundbreaking new technology [that] uses advanced algorithms to continuously monitor your listening environment, so that it can best block out ambient noise—not only on an aeroplane but also in a noisy café or a busy office.”

That’s not even the best part.

The new Beats have something called Fast Fuel which is a quick charging technology for your headphones via Micro-USB.

Picture the scene: You’re late for work (again), you just about have time for your shower and some breakfast and you realise that your headphones’ battery is on 0 and you’re not getting on that bus without being able to listen to some music.

Well, Fast Fuel means you can charge your Beats for just ten minutes and they will be able to give you three hours of music playback.

Can someone please get onto Dre, tell him to make a smartphone and create a fast fuelling battery for it.

The headphones look virtually the same as the original Beats Studio Wireless, including soft over-ear cushions and there are six colours to choose from: Red, Matte Black, White, Porcelain Rose, Blue, and Shadow Gray.
