She’s got all the time in the world.

Currently booming from cinema speakers across the globe with the theme song to Daniel Craig’s final James Bond adventure No Time to Die, Billie Eilish has lined up another colossal appointment.

The 19-year-old pop sensation will become the youngest solo headliner of the Glastonbury music festival when she plays the Pyramid Stage on opening night in June of 2022.

Having teased fans on Instagram with an image of her bedecked in a Glastonbury hoodie, Eilish’s booking was confirmed by festival organiser Emily Eavis on Monday morning.

“We couldn’t be happier to announce that the wondrous Billie Eilish is headlining the Pyramid on the Friday at next year’s Glastonbury Festival, becoming the youngest solo headliner in our history,” said Eavis.

“This feels like the perfect way for us to return and I cannot wait.”

Eilish has previously performed at Glastonbury, pitching up at the Other stage in 2019 to a huge crowd not unlike the record-breaking audience she attracted at that year’s Electric Picnic.

By the time she headlines Glastonbury next year, Eilish will be 20 years and six months young.

There’s an interesting Irish connection in terms of previous notably young musicians who headlined at the festival; with Mark Hamilton of Ash just 20 years and three months old when the band replaced Steve Windwood as the headline act in 1997.

Frontman Tim Wheeler wasn’t much older at 20 years and five months.
