All hail the mighty Bitch Falcon, both for their wonderful moniker and their continuing ability to crank out tunes that should strictly be played as loud as humanly possible.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Dublin-based grunge-informed trio, first off; shame on you. Second off; make it your business to discover them in a live setting when and where possible.
For now, we’ll present ‘Damp Breath’, the latest bone-shaker of a track that encapsulates what Bitch Falcon and vocalist/guitarist Lizzie Fitzpatrick do especially well; vital, punchy, aggressively cathartic music.
‘Damp Breath is a story that deals with someone being managed by a person of authority who is potentially seedy in their intentions,” notes Fitzpatrick.
“Would things be easier if they embrace their sexuality and use it to their advantage or would behaving in that way quickly create dread, anxiety, self-loathing and a complete abandonment of feminist values which ultimately would results in overwhelming guilt?”
