Bus Éireann release statement for anyone heading to see Ed Sheeran in Galway

Ed Sheeran continues the Irish leg of his European tour in Galway this evening and Bus Éireann have released some travel information for anyone that’s heading to Pearse Stadium.

They’re advising customers that the Galway City Route 401 will carry fans to the venue.

The Galway City Route 401 operates from Eyre Square South (Stop No 9 – in front of the AIB Bank) and there’s also going to be a temporary terminus at Galway Atlantaquaria in Salthill on Saturday, May 12th & Sunday, May 13th, 2018 every 20 minutes.

Return services will operate from the temporary terminus at Galway Atlantaquaria, a short walk to the concert venue in Pearse Stadium. Customers taking return journeys are advised to travel back to Eyre Square after the concert ends.

Galway City Red Zone Fares (Leap fare €1.61 and Adult cash fare €2.30 /Child (u-16) €1.30)  will apply and Leap Cards and Free Travel passes will also be accepted on these services.

With regards to the gig itself, here’s the expected timetable.

  • 5.45pm: Beoga
  • 6.30pm: Jamie Lawson
  • 7.30pm: Anne-Marie
  • 8.45pm: Ed Sheeran
