The Irish Independent confirmed the news on Sunday afternoon.

Coldplay are set to play their biggest ever Irish gig in 2017, according to the Irish Independent. The gig will take place on 8 July next year, and will form part of the band's A Head Full of Dreams tour. The band's last Irish appearance came in 2011, when they played Punchestown Racecourse as part of their Mylo Xyloto tour. Whether or not the band will add extra dates to their show on the 8th, a Saturday, remains to be seen. Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday, 7 October, at 9am through the usual outlets.
