Copper Face Jacks: The Musical is returning to the Olympia in 2019

Rudi Kinsella

It’s back!

Copper Face Jacks: The Musical was an absolute hit when it ran in the Olympia Theatre earlier this year.

People loved it, with many feeling like they immediately wanted to go to Coppers afterwards, which is always a good thing.

Loads of people went to see it, but many may have missed out.

But never fear, because the smash-hit musical will return to the Olympia Theatre from 10 July until 3 August 2019.

Tickets from €26 plus booking fee will go on sale this Friday, 30 November at 9am on Ticketmaster.

From the creator of Ross O’Carroll Kelly, Paul Howard, Copper Face Jacks: The Musical is a love story set on the eve of a Dublin v Kerry All Ireland Final, where a sweet Kerry girl falls in love with the captain of the Dublin team.

And naturally, the soundtrack to the musical is just all of the songs that you would hear on your average night on Harcourt Street.

So get ready to hear ‘Maniac 2000’ by Mark McCabe at least once…

And if you’re still not convinced, you can read our detailed review of the musical here, where our own Rory Cashin said that it “legitimately had the entire Olympia up and on its feet dancing and cheering by the end”.

High praise indeed.
