WATCH: This dancing Garda had as much fun as anyone at Arcade Fire last night

Conor Heneghan

Arcade Fire

No need to tell this guy to ‘Wake Up’ at Arcade Fire last night.

Arcade Fire were in Dublin on Wednesday night and made sure to make the most of their time in the capital, treating a select group of fans to a secret gig in Whelan’s after their performance at Malahide Castle.

By the looks of things, both performances were ones to remember and it wasn’t just the punters who were enjoying what one of the biggest bands in the world had to offer out in Malahide.

JOE reader Philippa Casey sent us in a video of a member of An Garda Síochána willingly busting some moves with concert goers as the closing notes to ‘Wake Up’ blasted out in the background.

‘Busting some moves’ might be exaggerating things slightly as the dance practised by the Garda was of the more traditional variety, but he certainly couldn’t be accused of not getting into the spirit of things during what seemed like a brilliant event all round.

Cheers to Philippa Casey for sending this our way. Got a story for JOE? Hit us up on Facebook or Twitter, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102 or mail [email protected].
