Something special is happening in London to celebrate the life of Dolores O'Riordan
This is a great idea.
A musical tribute to Dolores O'Riordan will take place on Trafalgar Square this coming St. Patrick's Day.
The lead singer of The Cranberries passed away on 15 January in London.
According to Gary Dunne, the creative programmer for the London St. Patrick's Day Festival, the tribute will be featured on the Trafalgar Stage with performers due to be announced this week.
Speaking to JOE, Dunne said: "In creative conversation with the artists and community groups playing the concert, the idea emerged to pay tribute to Dolores O'Riordan."
"We are currently working out what the tribute which look and sound like, but as Creative Programmer of the show, I feel it's fitting to mark it in some way, especially given the sad fact that Dolores passed in London."

It's currently featuring a great mix of artists who are already performing.
If the idea resonates, and other artists have something important to bring to the piece, my ears are open.— Gary Dunne (@GaryDunne) February 11, 2018
Tickets are free, and alongside this tribute to O'Riordan, the festival is also set to feature art and photography exhibitions, film screenings, musical trails, food markets and poetry readings.
