Both Drake and J.Cole announce that they are releasing new albums very soon

Rap fans of the world rejoice.

If you’re a Drake fan, you never really have to wait too long for new music to come out. In 2018 alone, he has released the hit ‘God’s Plan’, which has just been overtaken at number one by another new Drake song, ‘Nice For What’.

In between those two he also featured on the song ‘Look Alive’, which has accumulated over 191 million streams on Spotify in less than three months.

Combine this with the fact that he has also released two albums in the last two years, and you’ve got a pretty hefty body of work.

J.Cole fans don’t have the same luxury.

He hasn’t released an album since 2016, and hadn’t released one since 2014 before that. Certain optimistic J.Cole fans recognised a pattern in his work, and hoped that this meant that 2018 would be the year that the Fayetville rapper would release some new music, just in time for his performance at Longitude this Summer.

And they were correct.

Cole announced on his Twitter last night that his new album K.O.D would be released this Friday.

Drake fans will have to wait just a bit longer, as his new album Scorpoin, won’t be released until June.

Ah well, at least we’ll have Cole’s to keep us going.
