The O2 in Dublin, formerly known as The Point Theatre, has been “re-mastered” by one of O2’s main competitors…

That’s right folks, the next time you head out to the docklands for a gig or sporting event you’ll be heading to the 3Arena instead of the O2.

So what does this mean for customers who use the exclusive music-related discounts offered to O2 Priority customers? Well, here’s what O2 have to say over on their website:

“Ireland’s favourite venue is being re-mastered. A world class, state of the art venue that attracts over a million visitors every year. And great artists from all over the globe.

“O2 customers get exclusive ticket pre-sales, venue access, exciting competitions and a soon to open lounge to enhance your experience at 3Arena.”

So the name has changed, but not much else, which is something that O2 customers will be glad to hear.

For more about the name change and what this will mean for current O2 and Three customers head over to the 3Arena website.
