The lineup for Electric Picnic 2018 has been revealed and it’s a damn good one

Well, what’s the verdict?

Electric Picnic organisers announced the official lineup for the 2018 edition of the festival on Thursday, with Kendrick Lamar, N.E.R.D and Massive Attack set to headline the annual shindig in Stradbally in late August and early September.

Amongst the other acts on the lineup are Dua Lipa, Ben Howard, St. Vincent, George Ezra, The Kooks, Garbage and Gang of Youths.

There’ll be plenty more to follow between now and August, but the early announcements are certainly enough to whet the appetite of music fans.

Commenting at the launch of the lineup, Festival Director Melvin Benn said: “Kendrick is the biggest superstar in the world right now.”

“Massive Attack are one of my all-time favourite bands, they have huge integrity in everything that they do and they are perfect for Electric Picnic,” Benn added.

“The age range of those who come to the festival is very broad and we want to reflect that.”

It was also revealed that a very special comedy night will take place for the 5,000 early entry campers arriving on Thursday night, with an all-female line-up curated by Emily O’Callaghan.
