Foo Fighters and Alt-J are playing at a 3 day festival that’s really cheap

Paul Moore

Anyone fancy a trip?

It’s Monday which means that we’re all dreaming about somewhere else that we would rather be – unless you’re reading this from a beach in the Bahamas. If so, you’re a jammy fecker!

December is nearly upon us and if you’re looking to splash out on a gift for the music lover in your life, we might have just the thing for you.

Much like Open’er Festival in Gdynia, Poland and Mad Cool festival in Madrid, Spain – NOS Alive in Lisbon, Portugal will definitely appeal to anyone that loves good music, cheap prices and great weather.

To begin with, a ticket for the 3 day festival (incl camping) is only €145. Grand.

Who’s on the billing? Well, so far you’ve got Foo Fighters, Alt-J, Warpaint, Depeche Mode and The Kills. It’s far from complete but these bands are just a taste of what’s to come though because in recent years, the lineup has been remarkably strong.

Take a look at who has played at NOS Alive in the last two years.

See, we told you it was good.

Aside from the lineup and cheap prices, you’ll be pleased to know that the festival takes place just 8 minutes away from Lisbon city centre and it’s only 15 minutes away from the beach.

As always, it’s likely that you’ll gravitate towards a festival that speaks to your own musical tastes and interests, but this looks like another strong contender for any music lovers that fancy a wee road trip. The festival takes place from 6-8 July, so you’re almost guaranteed great weather.

FYI, according to globalalcoholprices.com, a six pack of beer in Portugal costs €6 while a bottle of mid-range wine costs around €2 to €5 at the store. That is if you fancy a responsible tipple.
