Earlier on Monday, we shared the news that The Weeknd, SZA and Travis Scott were reported to have a song that was going to feature in the final season of the show.
Well, it has since been confirmed that those artists will have something to do with the show, although it’s still unconfirmed whether the music will actually appear during the episodes.
Instead, it has been announced that an album is on the way, featuring some of the biggest names in the world of music.
In a video posted on their official Twitter account, Game of Thrones announced a lineup, alongside the caption: “Rally the realm. Music is coming.”
The album will be released on 26 April, and will feature the following acts:

- Ellie Goulding
- Jacob Banks
- James Arthur
- Joey Badass
- Lennon Stella
- Lil Peep
- The Lumineers
- Maren Morris
- Matthew Bellamy
- Mumford & Sons
- The National
- Rosalia Ft A.Chal
- Sza
- The Weeknd
- Travis Scott
- Ty Dolla $ign
- X Ambassadors

Some really big names there.
The announcement got a bit of a mixed reaction online, as many people were happy to see so many big names involved, while others felt that it didn’t really feel in keeping with the show’s theme.
