He’s hitting the road.
Will you join him? That’s the question.
Gavin James is gearing up for the release of second album Only Ticket Home next Friday, and he’s giving fans the chance to get up close and personal.
Having already announced a three-night run in Dublin’s iconic Olympia Theatre, the flame-haired troubadour will stop off in various record stories around Ireland for some live engagements.
James will perform songs from the new album while meeting fans and signing copies of the record at the following musical establishments:
Tower Records, Dawson Street, Dublin – Thursday 25 October at 9pm
Golden Discs, Dundrum – Saturday 27 October at 1pm
Golden Discs, Newbridge – Sunday 28 October at 2pm
Cleere’s with Rollercoaster Records, Kikenny at 2pm
Life is sweet for the Bitter Pill man at the moment, with current single ‘Glow’ enjoying the status of the second most played track on Irish radio, while previous release ‘Always’ has over 25 million streams to date.
“’Glow’ is a song about modern day relationships,” says Gavin, noting that it set the tone for his sophomore full-length.
“It’s the feeling you get when you know you’re in love with someone and it scares you at the same time. It’s pretty much about not giving up on something that could be amazing just out of fear and then ultimately regretting it if you let go.”
