Ham Sandwich to headline the last festival of the summer

Eric Lalor

Just when you thought the festival season was over…

The days are getting shorter and the dark evenings are rolling in and yes, the inevitability of autumn and winter is upon us. The summer memories are still fresh in our minds and we refuse to let them go.

Thankfully, the Battle For The Lake Festival is still on the horizon, helping us to hang on to the summer just that little bit longer.

SS Ham Sandwich

Nestled in Keel Lake on Achill Island, this will be a weekend of spraoi, music and family fun, taking place from September 30 to October 2.

Following the success of the Battle for the Bay that brought more than 60,000 smiles together on Dublin’s Dollymount Strand in May, the Pure Magic gang & friends are back to bring us into the world of watersports and music.

Busy Lakeside

As well as world-class kite surfing performances on the lake, there’ll be a great line-up featuring acts such as Ham Sandwich, The Hot Sprockets, Andrias De Staic and The Latchikos.

There’ll be a firework display reflected in the Burning Lake and the party keeps going on Saturday night with the exclusive Wave Crest after party where DJs will rock the decks until the small hours.

Weekend Night tickets are available from €40 for the entire festival or €25 per Night from www.eventbrite.ie
