’90s music fans, rejoice…
We’ve already had the blockbuster announcement that B*Witched will headline the nostalgia-fuelled Throwback Stage at this year’s Electric Picnic and now comes the next name on the bill.
Heather Small, the powerful voice behind Mercury Prize winners M People, will also be turning the clock back on Saturday at the Stradbally spectacular.
“There’s no sell-by date to great music,” says an excited Small.
“Performing live is what I love to do so I’m delighted and honoured to have the opportunity to play our most popular songs once again.”
Small also teased some “surprises” for those who turn up at the Electric Ireland stage, so who knows what that means.
You can, however, all but guarantee the likes of ‘Moving on Up’, ‘One Night in Heaven’ and ‘Search for the Hero’ to get the crowd moving.
Small and B*Witched take up the knowing baton from previous Throwbackers such as 5ive, 2 Unlimited, The Vengaboys, Ace of Base and Bonnie Tyler.
