WATCH: An impromptu trad session broke out in Supermac’s Ennis and it looked like great craic altogether

trad session

This looks like great fun.

Is there anything more Irish than an impromptu trad session breaking out in the middle of a Supermac’s after a Fleadh Cheoil?

We don’t think so…

Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan was taking place in Ennis last weekend, and it looked like a brilliant time altogether.

The event itself had loads of Irish musicians, dancers, singers, storytellers and visitors from every county in Munster gather together for a celebration of Irish culture.

And it ended exactly how you’d expect it to – with an impromptu trad session in Supermac’s…

Have a look for yourself:

The original video was posted by Paula Carroll.

The video features Amy McNamara and Fergus Bogue from the Cnoc na Gaoithe Céilí Band, who won the Munster Fleadh Senior Céilí Band competition at the event. They decided to celebrate with a tune with Colm Slattery.

And why wouldn’t they?

Here’s hoping Supermac’s gave them a free burger and chips for the free entertainment…

The Fleadh Cheoil itself had more than just music competitions. There was also a whole host of outdoor entertainment, workshops, sessions and a whole lot more.

If you’re interested in finding out more information about the event, including all of the winners, you can visit the official website here.
