Could this be our winner?

We announced a few weeks back that Ryan O’Shaughnessy’s track ‘Together’ would be Ireland’s entrant for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, and now we finally get to give it a spin.

The ballad, which he co-wrote alongside alongside Mark Caplice and Laura Elizabeth Hughes, was chosen out of over 300 songs put forward to RTE to be considered for this year’s entry.

O’Shaughnessy, who played the character of Mark Halpin on Fair City for the best part of a decade,

O’Shaughnessy will perform the ballad at the first Eurovision Semi Final in Lisbon on Tuesday 8 May, before the second semi-final takes place on Thursday 10, and the final on Saturday 12 May.

Check out the lovely accompanying music video that RTE released for the song, filmed on the streets of Temple Bar in Dublin, to which O’Shaughnessy responded: “It was amazing seeing the video come to life in the way it did, sticking with the original concept that love is universal and there are testing moments in every relationship.”
