Irish musicians pay tribute to British band Viola Beach who were killed in a road accident today

Truly awful news.

All four members of Warrington-based band Viola Beach are dead after the vehicle they were travelling through Sweden in careened off a highway bridge into the canal below. The young men, who were embarking on their first international tour, were Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin. They played a gig in The Academy in Dublin just 10 days ago. Tributes have poured in for the young men, who had only just begun their music careers. https://twitter.com/jamesvmcmorrow/status/698832927795318784 https://twitter.com/OtherkinOK/status/698798412448296961 https://twitter.com/orlagartland/status/698821524556488704 https://twitter.com/PaddyMcKenna/status/698838393174806528 https://twitter.com/RossJarman/status/698821849761898496
