This is one of the most emotional music videos we’ve seen in a very long time.
Over the past number of years, James Blunt has become quite well known for being fairly hilarious on social media.
But as we know well from ‘You’re Beautiful’, the man is no stranger to a tearjerker of a song.
And as iconic as ‘You’re Beautiful’ is, we think we’re safe in saying that it’s nothing compared to James Blunt’s new song ‘Monsters’.
The song sees the artist deal with the mortality of his father, and accepting that he is going to have to say goodbye to him, despite how difficult it’s going to be.
Literally every single line is heartbreaking in its own way, but Blunt singing “I’m not your son, you’re not my father. We’re just two grown men saying goodbye.”, is just … ouch.
And what a voice he has.
His father Charles has been diagnosed with chronic stage-four kidney disease, and he makes an appearance in the extremely emotional music video.
