Introducing Pine ¶he Pilcrow.

¶ Before you ask, a 'pilcrow' is that little symbol in the middle of the band's name. They're used to denote the start of a new paragraph, which is exactly what we'll do in throughout the rest of the article in honour of this fine band. ¶ Pine The Pilcrow are a Dublin-based ambient, folk trio that sound a little bit like Ireland's answer to Lau. Their songs usually consist of soft vocal harmonies over strings that bound forward and make you feel as if you were riding a horse to the village of the woman you love in 1860. ¶ They stopped by the East Side Tavern to record two tracks for JOE Sessions. Their own wonderful Where You Are, as well as haunting rendition of Look Back In Anger from David Bowie's 1979 album Lodger. The vocals of Hannah Ryan are a particular standout on the latter. For fans of: Lau, Lisa Hannigan
