JOE’s Song Of The Day #833 – Inhaler ‘Ice Cream Sundae’

Dave Hanratty

JOE Song Of The Day Inhaler Ice Cream Sundae

The future?

Having drawn a healthy crowd at Electric Picnic last Saturday, hotly-tipped Dublin rock outfit Inhaler take the next step forward with a brand new single.

‘Ice Cream Sundae’ is actually one of the first songs that the foursome wrote together when first forming, given new shimmering life here as their first major label offering.

“It’s about loss and gain,” notes singer Elijah Hewson, who, yes, it has been noted, is the offspring of U2 frontman Bono and bears more than a passing resemblance to the man.

“I like writing about normal teenage experiences that everybody can relate to,” Hewson adds.

“I’m just trying to write about the joy of being alive, being a teenager, and the bad things that can come with that.”

Check out ‘Ice Cream Sundae’ below and if it takes your fancy, you can catch the boys live across a two-night-stand as they play The Button Factory, Dublin, on 18 and 19 December.

Tickets for both shows are available now via Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.
