Where: Olympia Theatre, Dublin
The second of a three night residency in the legendary Dublin venue, this is a gig which promises to be pretty special. The 10th and 12th are sold out so you can get the last of the tickets for this date.
Interpol released their brand new, fifth studio album ‘El Pintor’ in Ireland in September after a four year break and it’s a brilliant record. The New York rockers are a must-see.
Who: Wyvern Lingo
Date: 12 February
Where: Coughlan’s, Cork
The three piece band from Bray have been wowing audiences at events such as Electric Picnic and also opened for Hozier on his Irish tour back in December.
Aoife Woodlock from Other Voices said of the band, “These girls have melody and delivery nailed. They are the real deal.” This gig in Cork is part of their current Irish tour.
Who: Declan O’Rourke with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra
Date: 12 February
Where: University Concert Hall Limerick
One of Ireland’s greatest singer song-writers, the Dublin man appears in Limerick with the backing of the full RTÉ Concert Orchestra in what promises to be a magical evening.
Who: Rubberbandits
Date: 13 February
Where: De Barras Folk Club, Clonakilty, Cork
Legendary comedy hip-hop duo The Rubberbandits bring their fantastic live show to one of the most picturesque places in the country. The beautiful quiet town of Clonakilty is in for a rude awakening on Friday night as Blindboy Boatclub and Mr Chrome strut their stuff.
Who: I Draw Slow
Date: 14 February
Where: Whelan’s, Dublin
Dublin roots band, I Draw Slow are always a great act to catch live and this gig in Whelan’s on Valentine’s night would not be the worst place to bring your other half.
It’s alt-country, folk, roots, old-time, Americana and it’s bloody great to hear live.
