The best of the live action around Ireland this week

Eric Lalor

The best of the live action around Ireland this week.

Who: Mumford & Sons
Date: December 2nd, 3rd
Where: 3Arena, Dublin

The waistcoat-clad collective with an ear for a catchy riff are in Dublin this week. The last time they played here was in 2013 when they graced the Phoenix Park.

Like them or loathe them, they’ll put on a show and their fans will love it.

The lead singer from Supergrass and once the proud owner of sideburns as big as Finglas, Gaz Coombes arrives in Galway for an intimate show in the Roisin Dubh.

We love Ham Sandwich and we love Christchurch Cathedral. Already, this gig has two of our favourite things so it’s well worth checking out.

Who: The Riptide Movement
Date: December 4th
Where: Dolan’s Warehouse, Limerick

With an ear for an infectious melody and putting on barnstorming gigs, The Riptide Movement are a band to be seen live and Dolan’s in Limerick is a brilliant venue.

Who: Lethal Dialect
Date: December 5th
Where: Academy 2, Dublin

To our mind, the finest exponent of rapping in the country and someone who always puts on a brilliant live show. Lethal Dialect is one of our hardest working artists and deserves your attention.

This gig on Saturday night in the Academy promises to be an absolute belter.
