Galants are ones to watch.
There's something wonderfully nostalgic about the sound of Galants on this record. The Dublin indie outfit create a sound which brings this writer back to the halcyon indie days of the early 90s when gazing at your shoes was the 'selfie' of our time.
I'm hearing the likes of Ride, Curve and Catherine Wheel on this track and makes me want to listen to more of the band's work. Kicking off with a throbbing bassline is always a good way to start and from the get-go, this song grabs you in, forces you to gaze at your shoes and leaves you wanting more.
Galants are David Kennedy (guitar and vocals), James McDonald (drums), Colin O’Dwyer (bass and vocals) and Ruairi Paxton (guitar). This track is the 2nd single from their sophomore EP.
