JOE’s Song Of The Day #685: Seskin Lane ‘Are We There Yet’

Eric Lalor

Seskin Lane

Seskin Lane will have you dancing.

Seskin Lane have got soul. And funk. And lots of it. They come from Thurles and have been on the Irish music scene since launching their debut album A History Of Things To Come in 2015.

The band are currently working on their follow-up album, and this is the first single.

It’ll have you dancing and wishing it was the weekend all over again.

Seskin Lane

They have also been sharing the stage with some of the most respected and successful acts in the country including Keywest, Hudson Taylor, Jack L, The Riptide Movement, Paddy Casey and more.

This has allowed the group to refine both their songwriting and their stage craft, and their  seven-piece live shows are quickly gaining a reputation as energetic and enthralling.

It’s a track dripping in funk and soul and really gives you a flavour of what this band is about.

Drawing on a wide range of influences from Rock, Blues, Gospel, Folk and Motown, all the way to classical and traditional Irish music, Seskin Lane are creating a soundscape that is all of their own.
