Here’s a quick breakdown of the pair’s beef so far.
Diss tracks have been an important part of hip-hop since its inception, and 2018 has had its fair share.
We had Drake and Pusha T’s, which was as intense a rivalry as we’ve seen in years.
And more recently, we had Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly go back and forth on beat.
Which brings us to Joyner Lucas and Tory Lanez, who are currently butting heads.
Lucas is a rapper who’s best known for rapping over well-known rap beats, as well as his mega-viral song ‘I’m Not Racist’, whereas Tory Lanez is a Canadian artist who falls into the genre of R&B rather than rap.
The two are taking each other with various freestyle songs, but it has all remained fairly civil so far.
The most controversial lyrics have been about Tory Lanez’ hair transplant…
But still, it’s good to be reminded that healthy competition still exists in the genre of hip-hop.
