Zinedine Kilbane on the decks.
Kevin Kilbane made a name for himself play on the left-flank (and, to a lesser extent, left-back) for the Republic of Ireland national team.
But tonight, the man they call Zinedine will be making a name for himself in a whole different kind of way.
Over the last 4 weeks, Kevin has been learning how to DJ as part of AIB’s Backing Doing campaign and tonight he makes his DJ debut. He’ll be taking over the decks at the Tivoli Theatre during District 8 for a 20-minute set before making way for Andrew Azara.
On the District 8 stage from 23:00—00:30 is a “surprise guest”… But we wonder if Kevin might have just spoiled that surprised with one of the hashtags in his tweet. #GrooveArmada, anyone?

What will be on Kev’s playlist? Fields of Athenry? Oo-Aa Paul McGrath? Amhrán na bhFiann will surely get a runout. Anyone with fond memories of the 2002 World Cup should be looking forward to this.
The night forms part of District 8’s final run in the Tivoli Theatre before it’s knocked in order to make way for a hotel.
