LCD Soundsystem guitarist describes Leo Varadkar as a 'tosser' after meeting him
They won't be on each other's Christmas card lists, we presume.
LCD Soundsystem guitarist Al Doyle was less than impressed by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, who met the band backstage after their performance at the Olympia Theatre on Friday night.
While those of us who weren't lucky enough to get a ticket were stuck inside with a takeaway and the absolute charmer that is Domhnall Gleeson, James Murphy, Doyle et al were putting on another hell of a show for their Irish fans.
Varadkar was in attendance but his foray into the inner sanctum of the backstage area didn't quite go as he might have wished.
Doyle tweeted in the early hours of the morning...
Doyle, responding to Entertainment.ie's Brian Lloyd on Twitter, also described how Nancy Whang took him to task over Ireland's draconian abortion laws ahead of today's March for Choice in Dublin.
Minister for European Affairs Helen McEntee - who was at the show with her colleagues in government - also weighed in after posting an image of this group of science teachers at a Debs.

McEntee was quick to defend her leader.
Wow! You do realise he's the one actually raising the repeal issue when other wouldn't! #GreatGigByTheWay #PityAboutTheBitterness
