Detention for you, Mr. Gleeson.
Domhnall Gleeson had a blast from the past on Friday night’s Late Late Show when he was reintroduced to a very proud member of the studio audience.
Oh, and he said the word ‘fuck’ on air, the bould scamp.
Host Ryan Tubridy had two big surprises for the Irish actor when he joined him in the RTÉ studios.
If the footage of a very young Gleeson playing Doody in a school performance of Grease (“Where the FUCK did you get that?”) wasn’t enough, the 34-year-old star of The Force Awakens then came face-to-face with Mrs Keogh, the secondary school music teacher who had such a big role to play in his decision to follow his father Brendan into the world of cinema.
On a night when all the talk had been about Tubridy’s pre-recorded interview with Hillary Clinton, it was Gleeson’s charm and general soundness that stole the show.
This is excellent.

It went down a treat.
I ❤️ Domhnall Gleeson. Nervous as a kitten on #latelateshow and so endearing for it. Talented people aren't necessarily fame-hungry.

Domhnall Gleeson seems like such a sweetheart… I thought he was the same age as me (25) – he's 34!? #latelateshow
