Commercial success for Michael Jackson has not slowed down since his death in 2009.
According to Forbes, the King of Pop has made more money than anyone else since passing away.
Jackson’s estate brought in $287 million recently from the sale of his estate’s stake in EMI Music Publishing to Sony, bringing his total amount of money made post-humously in 2018 as $400 million.
A Halloween special was also aired for the 20th consecutive year, which contributed to the figure.
Speaking about the special, one of the Jackson estate’s co-executor said; “You see Charlie Brown Christmas and Charlie Brown Thanksgiving every year, so now we’re looking to have Michael Jackson’s Halloween every year. We hope that it’ll become evergreen.”
