The first piece of posthumous music from the rapper has been released.
Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle, real name Ermias Ashgedom, was killed in a shooting outside his clothing store in Los Angeles in March of this year.
The music industry was shocked by the news, as the rapper was seen as an artist on the rise to many.
The first piece of posthumous music from the rapper has now been released by DJ Khaled.
The video for ‘Higher’, featuring John Legend, was released in the early hours of Friday morning, and the song is quite beautiful.

DJ Khaled announced that he would be releasing the video in a post on Twitter, where he said: “After much prayer and reflection, and with the full blessing of the Asghedom family, I am sharing that moment with the world.”
John Legend also paid tribute to the late rapper in a post on Twitter, where he revealed that the money made by the song would go to his loved ones.
Proud to be a part of this inspiring record with djkhaled and @nipseyhussle. We lost him too soon. The proceeds will go to his loved ones https://t.co/dEZnoIrrSn
