Word of mouth is a powerful thing.
A week on from arguably our favourite viral video of the year, Dublin musician Anderson got to meet a couple of his heroes on Wednesday night at Glen Hansard’s tenement gig on North Great George’s Street.
If you haven’t seen the singer go door-to-door selling his debut record Patterns, then you need to take a few minutes to bask in the fact that this is the best representation of Dublin people since Roddy Doyle wrote The Barrytown Trilogy.
It’s brilliant.
Well, Anderson got to meet the author himself last night, as well as Hansard (who played Outspan in The Commitments many, many moons ago) and hopefully good things are starting to happen for a man who built his own back garden studio.
Thanks to Stephen Browne for the images from Wednesday night’s show.
