Don’t get caught out…

Ed Sheeran plays the first of his nine sold-out gigs in Ireland over the next two weeks this Friday in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

He will play Páirc Uí Chaoimh on May 4, 5 and 6, the Boucher Playing Fields in Belfast on Wednesday May 9, Pearse Stadium in Galway on May 12 and 13, and the Phoenix Park in Dublin on May 16, 18 and 19.

Aiken Promotions have warned fans of some of the security procedures which will be in place at the venues.

Firstly, people attending the concerts are urged to bring ID with them or they will not be allowed access to the venue.

For tickets purchased online, promoters said, “you are required to bring your tickets along with the purchasing credit card or a photo/photocopy of the credit card and a valid form of ID to reflect family name.”

While for tickets purchased from outlets, promoters said, “whether you have paid by cash or credit card your name will be printed on your tickets and you will be required to bring valid ID matching the name printed on the ticket, or a photocopy, to gain access to the show.”

Fans who do not have the required ID will not be allowed entry into the venues and resold tickets will not be accepted.

The venue will be open at 5pm on show days but early queuing will not be permitted in the streets outside the venues as they’re residential areas. Ticket holders are asked to respect the privacy of residents and respect the local community.

Promoters also warned about brining large bags to the venues saying that people without bags will be fast-tracked.

“If you must bring a bag it needs to be smaller than A4 size,” they said.

“Bags under A4 size will be subject to a search which will result in unnecessary queuing.
