Fancy listening to a few of your favourite songs stripped down to their bare bones?

From hits like Michael Jackson’s ‘Beat It’ to ‘Enter Sandman’ by Metallica and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘Under the Bridge’, there’s plenty of songs to choose to listen to on this very cool in-browser app, Multitrack Love, which strips down songs and allows you to separate all their tracks out, listening to just the vocals or just the drums; whatever takes your fancy.

We very much enjoyed listening to Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’, which becomes almost haunting with no music, and the guitar solo from ‘Smoke on the Water’ on its own, but picking apart ‘The Sound of Silence’ to the separate harmonies from Simon and Garfunkel is pretty amazing, and is almost like listening to a new song.

It doesn’t work quite perfectly, as you can still hear guitar in some vocal tracks and such, but hey, this is free and works in your browser, quit complaining.

Hat-tip to The Verge for this one.
