Roscommon DJ wins award for the 'Best Radio Show in the World'

Quite the achievement for the Boyle man.

Ever heard of Frankie Beats? Well you should have, because the DJ looks likely to be announced as the winner of the 'Best Radio Show in the World' award this coming Thursday.

DJ Frankie Beats (aka Frankie Shanley), from Boyle, Co. Roscommon, looks set to be given the Mixcloud Online Radio Award (MORA), following voting that has been open to the public for four weeks, as well as being decided by a team of 20 judges.

It's Frankie's 'Breaking' show that is set to win the pop category of the award.

The 41-year-old broadcasts his exciting music show from locations in Ireland, Greece and Portugal throughout the week, where he plays brand new music, as well as big name interviews.

According to the MORA website, if you're looking for the biggest artists in the world, or those garage bands looking for their big break, you'll hear them with Frankie first.
