A must-watch for any fan of ‘Ye.

Searching For Kanye aired on BBC Three over the weekend, but the producers have also uploaded the entire documentary on to YouTube for everyone (including those without access to the BBC iPlayer) to enjoy.

Journalist Ben Zand meeting with those who know Kanye to try and get some insight into his recent antics and declarations around politics, race and mental health.

Zand’s previous documentary, R. Kelly: Sex, Girls, And Videotape, garnered a lot of attention earlier this year, but his latest work might get even more people talking, considering how West is still very much a part of our day-to-day conversations at the moment.

The synopsis for the doc is as follows:

“During his travels across the US, Ben Zand has intimate conversations with Kanye’s childhood friends in Chicago, his political allies in Washington, his soul-singing cousin in Texas, and his legendary manager in the Hollywood Hills.

“Ben’s search for Kanye is a fresh and revealing portrait of one of the most controversial and influential artists of the 21st century, at a pivotal point in the life of Ye.”
