All in the name of sneaking drugs into a music festival…

Two men allegedly tried to hide drugs around Sydney Olympic Park in the week leading up to an electronic music festival called Stereosonic.

The festival is taking place today in Australia and earlier in the week police were called after a man was spotted trying to drill a hole into a building. Reports say he was trying to hide drugs in the hole in the wall.

According to a NSW Police statement provided to Mashable Australia, the man fled the area when he was confronted by security.

The police said that it was clear that he was trying to stash something in the walls, his home was later searched by police where they found 10 MDMA pills. He has since been charged.

As if this wasn’t enough for one week, another man was witnessed acting suspiciously in the area on Tuesday night.

Police were called and they searched his car and “located 95 ecstasy tablets,” according to the NSW Police statement.

It’s believed he was trying to hide them on the site of the concert before the fences were put up around the venue.
