Northern Irish singer-songwriter Lilla Vargen is here to ask some pertinent questions with brand new single 'Why Wait'. Though the song's subject matter focuses on exiting a toxic relationship, its video shines a difficult light on a housing crisis that has swept country-wide, leaving chaos and tragedy in its wake.

“My family worked with the council helping put together packs for people who were sleeping rough,” the Ballymena native notes.

“You see things that are quite hard, but you also learn the most amazing things just from talking to people, and they’re so glad to have these conversations.

"It’s difficult to imagine how hard it must be sitting there on the streets day by day, with everyone avoiding you.”

'Why Wait' comes from the forthcoming We Were Thunder EP, set for release on Friday 29 November.
