Spotify’s Top 10 guilty pleasure songs have been revealed… and they’re eerily accurate

Alan Loughnane

The whole idea of a guilty pleasure is a difficult one to define; it is something that you like but shouldn’t like or should be ashamed of liking. In other words, you don’t tell anybody that you actually like it.

Why are we so ashamed to admit we like Call Me Maybe or Don’t Stop Believing? JOE doesn’t know and now isn’t the time to try and answer the age-old question surrounding the whole musical taboo. So, onto other matters.

Spotify have trawled through the playlists of 120,000 users under the title ‘guilty pleasures’ and compiled a list of the top ten songs that you secretly love, but would never admit unless it’s half-two on a Saturday night.

The list is below and if you say you don’t secretly like at least eight of these songs then we know you’re a liar. Don’t be afraid to admit that if these tunes came on at home when you’re all alone, you would sing and dance along awfully…
