Katie brought the house down!

It’s that time of year again. Le Crunch Apples are giving artists around the country the chance to make a name for themselves with the Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Song Contest.

Fancy playing in front of a full house at Whelan’s and pocketing some serious dough while you’re at it? Just send in a recording of yourself performing a cover of your favourite song to be in with a chance.

If you need some inspiration, then look no further than last year’s winner, Katie Cassidy. She won the prize with her show-stopping rendition of Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good’.

Katie came out on top over four other finalists and walked away with the €1500 prize.

Take a look at her performance here.

If you want to be part of the action, there are a few ways you can enter. Email us at [email protected] with an MP3 or an MP4 file attached. Or you can link to your YouTube video included in the body of the email. You must also include your contact details in the email.

Post your video on Twitter with the hashtag #LeCrunchSongs (we’ll contact you for details if you’re shortlisted as a semi-finalist).

The closing date for entries is 19 February, 2018.

The five finalists will then be chosen by a combination of a panel of judges and a public vote. Three of the finalists will be selected by the judges and the final two places will be decided by a public vote on the competition website.

Judges on the night will include JOE’s Paddy McKenna, Barq’s Jess Kavanagh and singer Jack O’Rourke.

T&Cs apply.
