Time to gather your mates and funds.

Right now, thousands of people are probably packing away their tent, trawling through the mud and dreaming of a warm shower.

Another Electric Picnic has come and gone, but attention is already turning to EP 2020.

Has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

Well, we’re delighted to say that tickets for next year’s festival are going on sale on Saturday, 7 September at 9am.

When asked about next year’s ticket sales, Festival Director Melvin Benn said: “Subject to our annual statutory meeting with authorities on Tuesday, tickets to Electric Picnic 2020 will go on sale Saturday morning at 9 o’clock.”

There’s even more good news because the licensing contract for Electric Picnic is set to run for another decade.

“We have a contract with the Cosby family for 10 more years,” Benn added.

“They seem to like us. They have literally the biggest acts in the world come and play in their front garden so they’re pretty happy. They have the best festival crowd in the world come and camp in their front garden so we’re in pretty good shape with them, so essentially we have a rolling 10-year contract.”

Electric Picnic 2019 saw over 300 acts perform across a multitude of stages, with musical highlights over the course of the weekend including a memorable performance from Billie Eilish on Friday and The Strokes on Saturday night.

Given the popularity of the festival, we reckon tickets are going to be snapped up very quickly when they go on sale, so don’t miss out.

And if you’re returning from this year’s festival, remember to put away the tent.
