A seriously talented young man with an old musical soul …

It’s been often said that Blues music can only be fully appreciated by people who have had plenty of years under their belt, or adults as they’re sometimes known, and people who have experienced much of what life has to offer.

Felix De St-Hilaire, a 10 year old blind blues musician from Quebec,  has rubbished this theory with an absolutely brilliant rendition of ‘Every Day I Have the Blues’ by the legendary B.B King at a local summer camp.

The camp director filmed the performance and after his friends saw it they felt it was so good that he had to publish it online. Take a look…

French speaking Felix was born blind but his mother says that this hasn’t hindered her boy’s love of music, as seen by the fact that he learned to play the drums in his high chair. Felix got his first guitar aged six and taught himself how to play and sing in English.

I think we can all agree that this is seriously impressive stuff and Felix deserves all the recognition that he is getting at the minute. Legend.
