As cover versions go, this one in the back of a German lad’s car is right up there with the best of them, mainly because it features the song’s original artist, Sir Mix-A-Lot.
Deutschland DJ Flula managed to track down the 90s hip hop legend and somehow was able to convince him to perform this dubstep-inspired, modern take on the 1992 classic. Probably by promising him loads and loads of bountiful, beautiful booty. It’s all part of Flula’s brilliantly named ‘Auto Tunes’ song series which ingeniously involves performing tunes in the back of an auto. It really is that simple. The clip is pretty godayum funny, mainly due to Flula’s hilarious German delivery but, even more surprisingly, the cover version is class.
